Terms and Conditions

Nurturing Birth Ltd understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading clients to cancel their course bookings. We aim to approach each case with flexibility and understanding. However, please bear in mind we are a small business and our course numbers are quite small.

Course cancellations can have a significant financial impact, including costs related to venue bookings, administration and banking fees, facilitators, travel, and the experience of other course participants.

In some cases, cancellations may even affect the viability of running the course if the minimum participant numbers are not met.

We strive to resolve such situations fairly and transparently, and any decisions regarding refunds, transfers, or other arrangements will be made at the discretion of the Nurturing Birth Directors.

To cancel your booking, you must notify Nurturing Birth in writing via email or letter and request acknowledgment of receipt. Please contact:

Cooling-off period: You have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking and receive a full refund of anything you've paid. After those 14 days, the refund terms below apply.

Cancellations Before the Course Start Date:

• More than 4 weeks' notice: 75% refund of the course fee.

• 2–4 weeks' notice: 50% refund of the course fee.

• Less than 2 weeks' notice: No refund. (A transfer may be offered depending on circumstances)

If you're paying by instalments:
Refunds and any amount still owed are worked out on the full course fee, not just the payments made so far. Depending on when you cancel, this may mean you're due a partial refund, owe nothing further, or still owe some or all of the outstanding instalments. Each case will be decided at the discretion of the Nurturing Birth Directors.

Withdrawal During the Course:

• Once the course has commenced, no refunds will be issued for withdrawal. If circumstances are out of your control, you will be offered a future course place where possible.

If Nurturing Birth Cancels the Course:

• You will be offered two options:

  • A full refund of the course fee.

  • Transfer to an alternative course date or location at no additional cost. 

Transferring to Another Course Date:

• If you are unable to attend the course you originally booked, you may transfer once to another course date, subject to availability. This must be requested at least 4 weeks before the course start date.

Substitutions:

If you are unable to attend, you may request to substitute your place with another individual. This must be approved by Nurturing Birth and requested no later than 10 days before the course start date. Any associated administrative costs will be covered by the person making the substitution.
Payment Plans:
If you choose to pay by instalments, payments are taken automatically each month from the card you booked with. Your payment plan may continue after the course has finished, as the course includes a three-month period of post-course work and mentoring. If a payment fails, we'll get in touch and ask you to update your payment details. Missed or late instalments will be dealt with at the discretion of the Nurturing Birth Directors.
Your certificate will only be awarded once the course fee has been paid in full.
Access to Course Materials and Resources:
Your booking includes access to your coursework, online course resources (including the Resource Board and the course manual) and mentoring. If you cancel your booking, or stop paying your instalments, we may remove your access to these resources and to mentoring. Once you've paid in full and completed the course, you'll keep access to the resources.
